Tottenham have been linked with a move for Ruslan Malinovskyi for a few days now.
The 29-year-old Atalanta midfielder is reportedly a target for the London club but they are yet to agree to Atalanta’s demands for him.
The experienced attacking midfielder scored 10 goals across all competitions last season and he could be a useful addition to Conte’s midfield. Spurs could use some creativity and goals in the middle of the park and Malinovskyi seems like an ideal fit.
Furthermore, he is a set-piece expert as well.
The midfielder is at the peak of his powers and he could make an immediate impact as well. However, Spurs are not the only ones looking to sign him.
According to Footmercato, Marseille are keen on signing the player and the Ukrainian is open to the move as well.
However, the report adds that he ‘prefers to join Tottenham’, a club that is following him.
Malinovskyi wants a move away from Italy and if Spurs don’t agree on a deal with Atalanta, he will not turn down a move to Marseille.
That said, the French club have not managed to secure an agreement with Atalanta either.
It will be interesting to see how the situation develops over the next few days. We covered reports earlier stating that the midfielder is valued at €45 million.
