Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice praises Tottenham acknowledging them as a force to reckon with in this season’s title race.
Ange Postecoglou has been steering Tottenham in the right direction this season, a marked improvement from the club’s subpar display last season, where they finished 8th in the league and missed out on all European places.
Currently positioned just outside the top four in the Premier League, Spurs hold the 5th spot with 44 points, closely trailing Aston Villa by a slim margin.
With Spurs making a strong push towards Champions League qualification (and potentially more), rival clubs have started taking notice.
Among those taking notice is Arsenal star Declan Rice, who has praised the club’s performances this campaign.
Spurs, only 5 points behind Arsenal and 7 points behind league leaders Liverpool, are not ruling out the possibility of a late-season title charge.
Following Arsenal’s crucial 3-1 victory over Liverpool, Rice acknowledged their North London rivals.
Speaking to beIN Sports, Rice discussed the volatile nature of the league and the strong performances of teams like Spurs and Aston Villa.
He stated:
“Look, I think you have to take it one game at a time. This league is so volatile.
“It’s up and down and up and down all the time. You can move positions. Aston Villa are playing very well. Spurs are playing very well.
“There’s some really, really good teams in the league this year. It’s one game at a time.”
"Mikel told us to stay calm and we've got some great characters in the team who were telling us to push on"

The title race remains open this season, with just a few points separating the top five teams.
However, Tottenham faced a setback with a draw against Everton over the weekend due to a stoppage-time equaliser by Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.
With every game crucial in the final months of the season, Postecoglou aims to return to winning ways as Spurs prepare to host Brighton on Saturday.
