Ryan Mason unsure of 23-year-old’s future at Tottenham next season

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have the option to sign Dejan Kulusevski on a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old Swedish international has done reasonably well since his move to the London club and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham exercise the option to sign him permanently. Tottenham will have to pay £31 million in order to sign the player permanently.

Caretaker manager Ryan Mason has been quizzed about the player’s long-term future at the club, and the former Tottenham midfielder revealed that he is unsure about Kulusevski’s future.

Mason has added that the player’s long-term future will be decided at the end of the season.

“I’m not sure about that to be perfectly honest”, he said in his latest press conference, as quoted by Football.London’s Alasdair Gold.

“The general feeling is that Deki is a Tottenham player so those conversations, like many other conversations about other players will come at the end of the season.”

The 23-year-old is undoubtedly a top-quality player and he has a big future ahead of him. Tottenham must look to sign him permanently at the end of the season.

Despite his underwhelming performances this season, Kulusevski managed to impress at the London club and he could be a key player for Tottenham in the coming season.

In addition to that, Tottenham are currently lacking in a quality right-sided winger and the Sweden international is an ideal fit in that role. Kulusevski is well settled in the Premier League and making his move from Juventus permanent will prove to be a wise decision for Tottenham.

Tottenham will need to bring an attacking reinforcements at the end of the season, and they must look to sign a quality backup option for Harry Kane.

In the wide areas, players like Richarlison and Son Heung-min have been rather underwhelming this season and it remains to be seen whether Tottenham decide to sign a winger as well.
