This isn’t breaking news.
The suggestion that our Director of Football, Franco Baldini had attempted to tender his resignation was first mooted to me a about a fortnight ago.
I was hoping that this might be framed with some additional information, to support it, and that has subsequently happened.
The offer to quit was declined, rejected, call it what you will. When? My best guess is “sometime in January.”
Levy & Co. appear to have learned one thing at least, during Arry’s tenure, and that is they never want to wade through the mire of questionable suggestions he presented upon a daily basis, ever again.
What they learned from André’s spell with us, is that they never want to face a manager whose face says “you lied to me mister”ever day, ever again.
To the regime, the best way to manage the manager, is a presence of a Director of Football.
