As the summer transfer window looms on the horizon, Tottenham Hotspur are ramping up its efforts to secure new signings, particularly in the forward department.
Among the names on their radar is Feyenoord’s rising star, Santiago Gimenez.
Recent reports have indicated that Spurs are not alone in their pursuit, with North London rivals Arsenal also vying for Gimenez’s signature.
Journalist Ruben Rodriguez hinted at significant offers being made for the young centre-forward, although the identities of the clubs involved remain undisclosed.
According to journalist Ruben Rodriguez, speaking to La Perrada, Spurs may have already submitted a bid for Gimenez.
The journalist claims that the centre-forward has received ‘two very important offers’ without disclosing the names of the clubs.
Rodriguez also noted that the player’s departure from the Dutch club is likely in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The news outlet Vamos Cruz Azul also corroborated the journalist’s report, mentioning that Gimenez’s father, who is also his agent, will be travelling to Europe to gather more information about these offers and possibly meet with the potential suitors, which could include the Lilywhites.
Gimenez’s contract with Feyenoord is set to run until June 30, 2027, having been renewed just last year in August.
The 23-year-old has been in exceptional form in the Eredivisie this season, ranking as the third-highest goalscorer in the division.
He has scored 21 goals and provided 5 assists in 29 appearances. (Transfermarkt)
