Report: Tottenham have recently held a meeting in London regarding €35m transfer

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to sign Dejan Kulusevski permanently during the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Swedish winger was on loan at the north London club this past season and Spurs have an option to sign in permanently.

Apparently, the Premier League side will have to pay €35 million for him and a report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Tottenham have recently met with Juventus officials in London in order to discuss the permanent transfer.

Apparently, Spurs are unwilling to pay the €35 million asking price and they are seeking a discount on the fee.

Goal Italy adds that the player wants to continue at Tottenham beyond this summer.

Juventus are under pressure to sell some players and balance the books after missing out on Champions League qualification and it remains to be seen whether they are ready to lower the asking price.

The 23-year-old winger clearly has no future at Juventus and he will be hoping to move to Tottenham permanently.

It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can come to an agreement soon.

Despite an underwhelming campaign this past season, Kulusevski has previously shown his quality at Tottenham and he could develop into an indispensable asset for the north London club.

Tottenham need to add more quality and depth to their attack and the 23-year-old has the attributes to develop into a key player for them. Spurs have recently appointed Ange Postecoglou as their new manager and the Australian could get the best of the winger.

The 57-year-old has a proven track record of extracting the best out of his players and he could help get Kulusevski’s career back on track.
