Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is thought to be keen on holding onto Harry Kane beyond this summer despite intense transfer links.
The 29-year-old has been linked with a number of clubs recently and Bayern Munich are thought to be pushing for his signature this summer.
As per 90 Min, Levy has already met with the CEO of the German club earlier this week and the future of Harry Kane was a topic of discussion. However, the German club are yet to receive any encouragement that Tottenham will sanction his departure this summer.
Apparently, Levy has made it clear to the player’s representatives that he is willing to make the England international one of the highest-paid players in Europe if he signs a new contract with the club.
In addition to that, Tottenham are willing to offer him assurances about a role after his playing career comes to an end.
The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham and Spurs need to convince him to sign a new deal with them. They cannot afford to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next year.
Meanwhile, the striker’s representatives have held talks with various interested parties. The player has had a meeting with the newly appointed Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou as well.
The report from 90 Min claims that the initial meetings between the two have been quite positive and it remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.
