Real Madrid are reportedly eyeing up Tottenham Hotspur right-back Pedro Porro, according to Spanish outlet MundoDeportivo.
The La Liga giants are believed to be in the market for a right-back and have identified the Spurs defender as a potential candidate.
Despite initially struggling to settle in, he has since become Tottenham’s first-choice right-back and has impressed with two goals and two assists in 12 appearances for the club.
However, Real Madrid’s interest in Porro is unlikely to materialise. Even though Tottenham’s new manager, whoever that may be, might have different preferences for his squad, the prospect of selling a quality player like Porro after just signing him is highly unlikely.
It’s not just Porro who has caught the eye of the Spanish giants. Diario AS recently reported that Tottenham star striker Harry Kane is also on Real Madrid’s summer shortlist.
The speculation surrounding Kane’s future at Tottenham continues to dominate headlines, with the prolific striker yet to commit to a new contract with the London club.
Manchester United have made him their top target this summer, while Bayern Munich and PSG are also interested in signing him.
While, it is reported that the England striker will prefer to stay in England, an offer from a club of Real Madrid’s status can often become too tempting to refuse.
Tottenham are looking to rebuild this summer under a new manager and sporting director, and will hope convince their talismanic striker to not leave anytime soon; nor are they likely to allow Pedro Porro to leave.
