Tottenham Hotspur defender Ryan Sessegnon is reportedly attracting interest from newly promoted Ipswich Town, according to club insider Paul O’Keefe.
The 24-year-old, whose contract with Spurs is set to expire next month, is expected to leave the club this summer.
Once hailed as a promising talent, Sessegnon’s career at Tottenham has been significantly hampered by injuries.
Over the past 11 months, the defender has struggled to maintain fitness, spending considerable time on the sidelines since February of last year.
His latest setback came after a brief return to action, from injury for the Tottenham’s U21 side before suffering another hamstring injury that required surgery and ruled him out for an additional three months.
With Sessegnon’s current contract nearing its end, Tottenham have an option to extend his deal by another year.
However, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano had previously reported that the club is unlikely to exercise this option, paving the way for Sessegnon’s departure on a free transfer next month.
While there is interest in him from various European clubs, Sessegnon has expressed a preference to remain in the Premier League.

Ipswich Town, recently promoted to the Premier League, are reportedly keen on securing Sessegnon’s services.
Paul O’Keefe, a well-known club insider, has indicated that Ipswich view Sessegnon as a viable option for a permanent move.
Ryan Sessegnon’s exit would mean Tottenham will need to sign another left-back as backup to Destiny Udogie.
