“Will be his destination” – Premier League coach makes surprise claim about Harry Kane’s future transfer

By Mehdi Gokal -

Last summer, Tottenham Hotspur bid farewell to their legendary striker Harry Kane as he made a record-breaking move to Bayern Munich in an £82 million deal.

Kane’s departure marked the end of an illustrious era in North London, where he etched his name into Spurs’ history books with remarkable goalscoring exploits.

During his decade-long tenure with Tottenham, Kane made an impressive 430 appearances, scoring a staggering 278 goals and providing 64 assists. (Transfermarkt)

His prolific performances earned him widespread acclaim and established him as one of the Premier League’s best ever strikers.

Kane’s transfer saga dominated headlines throughout the summer, with Manchester United initially poised to secure his signing.

However, Bayern Munich emerged as the eventual destination for the Englishman, concluding a prolonged transfer saga.

Despite the failed attempt last summer, speculation has resurfaced regarding Manchester United’s renewed interest in signing Harry Kane during the upcoming transfer window.

While it is unlikely that Kane will leave Bayern after just one season, West Ham United’s Kevil Nolan has tipped United to finally seal Kane’s signature in the future.

Speaking on talkSPORT, he said:

“I can certainly see him back in the Premier League.”

“I don’t think Tottenham would have ever sold him to Manchester United. But for him to go to Bayern Munich, then it’s easier for him to come back from Germany, and I think Man United will be his destination.

“I think they [Bayern] would want their money back. Of course [he is worth it]. 20-plus goals every season, and he was playing for Tottenham during them times as well. Realistically, are Man United as good as Tottenham?

“But I just think he brings a different aura to them anyway, a different aura to the team as soon as he puts the shirt on for whoever. I probably think Man United would be the one.”

Ten Hag had expressed a keen interest in signing Kane last summer, but Spurs’ reluctance to sell to a direct rival hindered the potential transfer.

However, with Kane now playing in Germany, Manchester United’s pursuit of the prolific striker appears more likely.

Kane has enjoyed a remarkable season in the Bundesliga, netting 27 goals and providing 6 assists in just 24 appearances.

His exceptional form has positioned him atop the goalscoring charts in Europe’s top five leagues, reaffirming his status as one of the world’s best forwards.

Despite Kane’s individual brilliance, Bayern Munich finds themselves in a precarious position, trailing Bayer Leverkusen by 10 points in the Bundesliga title race.

Additionally, their early exits from domestic competitions have left the Champions League as their sole hope for silverware this season.

Recent reports have suggested that Kane may be discontent with Bayern’s current situation, potentially paving the way for a return to the Premier League.

While many Tottenham fans may hope for Kane’s reunion with Spurs, a potential move to Manchester United could stir mixed emotions among supporters.
