Postecoglou could throw spanner in the works as Tottenham eye £26 million transfer

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with a permanent move for the Swedish international winger Dejan Kulusevski this summer.

According to a report from 90 Min, the Premier League side have the option to sign the player permanently for a fee of around £26 million this summer and they have roughly over two weeks to exercise the clause and sign the 23-year-old.

However, the transfer could be in jeopardy now after the appointment of new manager Ange Postecoglou.

According to the report, Postecoglou is not too convinced by the Juventus winger and the player will have to win over the Australian manager in order for the transfer to go through.

Kulusevski has had a mediocre campaign with Tottenham this season, but he managed to make an immediate impact upon his arrival in the Premier League. There is no doubt that the 23-year-old is a talented player with immense potential and he could develop into a key player for Tottenham in the coming seasons.

Tottenham have had a dismal campaign and Kulusevski is not the only player who struggled to hit top form. Tottenham should keep faith in the player’s potential and sign him this summer.

The 23-year-old has all the tools to develop into a top-class winger and he might not be available for £26 million in the future anymore. Tottenham must seize the opportunity and secure his signature permanently this summer.

The North London giants are already lacking in depth in the attacking department and they cannot afford to weaken the squad any further. They will find it difficult to replace the Swedish international, especially without Champions League football and limited finances.
