Paratici ‘asked’ to sign young attacker after Conte ‘fell in love’ with his football

By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing the Roma youngster Nicola Zalewski.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Antonio Conte has been tracking the youngster for a while now and he has ‘asked’ the Tottenham director Fabio Paratici to sign the 20-year-old this summer.

The report claims that Antonio Conte ‘fell in love with this boy’s football’.

The young winger is highly rated at Roma and he made 23 appearances across all competitions last season.

Zalewski is a naturally left-sided winger but he can operate on either flank and play as an attacking midfielder as well.

The 20-year-old has a massive future ahead of him but he needs to play regular first-team football in order to continue his development and fulfil his potential.

With the likes of Richarlison and Ivan Perisic ahead of him in the pecking order at Tottenham, a move to the Premier League club might not be a wise decision for the youngster right now.

He is likely to get more playing time at the Italian club next season.

Alternatively, the Premier League side could look to sign the youngster and loan him back to Roma for the near future.

It remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks but it seems unlikely that the Italian outfit will sanction his departure this summer.
