Tottenham Hotspur endured consecutive defeats in the Premier League, falling to a 2-3 loss against Arsenal in the North London derby on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners dominated the first half, establishing a commanding 3-0 lead heading into halftime, leaving Spurs trailing.
In the second half, Ange Postecoglou’s side rallied, dominating proceedings with a higher expected goal (xG) of 1.52 compared to the visitors’ 0.37. (FotMob)
Tottenham showed resilience by netting two goals, with Cristian Romero capitalising on a mistake by David Raya for the first, and Son Heung-min converting a penalty in the 87th minute.
However, despite their efforts, the hosts couldn’t find the equaliser.
Jamie O’Hara, former Spurs midfielder and pundit, didn’t mince words in expressing his frustration with Spurs’ loss against Arsenal.
He labelled the first half performance as “shocking” and criticised their vulnerability in defending set pieces, likening it to that of a “pub team.”
He criticised Ben Davies for allowing Bukayo Saka to use his favoured left foot instead of showing him his right foot, labelling it as “schoolboy stuff.”
O’Hara also believed that Spurs should have been awarded a penalty.
He posted the following after Saka’s goal:
“Shocking defensively again, set pieces are killing us we’re like a pub team, and Davies has to show Saka on his right school boy stuff, should of had a penalty but this game is over, Arsenal too good at the back, fuming on sky right now.”

With the recent defeat, Tottenham Hotspur’s hopes of finishing inside the top four and securing the coveted Champions League spot are diminishing, as Aston Villa, currently in fourth place, have a seven-point lead over them.
