‘Noises coming out’ – Alasdair Gold makes huge claim regarding more incomings for Spurs

By Mehdi Gokal -

According to Alasdair Gold, Tottenham Hotspur’s final incoming of the transfer window appears to be Pedro Porro, but the journalist did add the caveat that a late deal is impossible to rule out.

Tottenham have had a frustrating transfer window thus far. Pedro Porro of Sporting Lisbon was identified as the club’s top target this month, but it has taken the entire month to complete the deal.

The initial deal according to Sky Sport’s Bridge, will be a loan move for £5 million, with an obligation to make it permanent for £39 million.

And as per Daily Mail, after extensive negotiation, Porro’s move to Spurs will finally go through.

Earlier in the transfer window, Spurs signed Arnaut Danjuma on a loan, snatching the player out from under Everton’s noses who, according to The Sun, had even finished a medical.

And most likely the Porro deal will be the last piece of business Spurs will do this transfer window, however, Alasdair Gold did give a disclaimer suggesting that there could be a surprise last minute signing stating that ‘it is impossible to rule out a late deal happening‘.

He said on Football.London’s Facebook Live (14:45 – 31/1/23):

“From the noises coming out of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club right now, Pedro Porro does appear to be the last incoming player. However, it is impossible to rule out a late deal happening.”

Spurs have a habit of making last-minute deadline-day deals with Rodrigo Bentancur and Dejan Kulusevski the most recent examples. Both of them were snapped by Spurs on the deadline day last year and they have been two of the best players for Spurs since signing.

So you can never rule out anything until the window closes.
