Eberechi Eze is now closing in on a move to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Crystal Palace attacker has been heavily linked with a move away this summer, and negotiations are currently advancing with Tottenham. As per Fabrizio Romano, the player has already agreed on personal terms with the London club, and it remains to be seen whether a deal can be wrapped up quickly.

Spurs need Eberechi Eze

After the departure of Son Heung-min and the injury to James Madison, Tottenham need more quality depth in the attacking unit. The versatile 27-year-old Crystal Palace star could be the ideal acquisition. He can operate centrally as an attacking midfielder as well as a wide player. He will look to create chances for his teammates and find the back of the net as well.

Eze had 25 goal contributions last season, and it is fair to assume that those numbers could improve when he is playing in a better team alongside quality players. Tottenham might be able to bring out the best in him. He would also get to experience Champions League football with them.

Spurs need to do well in the league

Despite winning the UEFA Europa League last season, Spurs were quite disappointing overall. They finished close to the relegation zone. They will want to bounce back strongly and do well in the Premier League now.

Eze could help them push for a place in the top four. It will be interesting to see if he can make an instant impact. He is well settled in the Premier League, and there is no reason why he cannot hit the ground running.

The 27-year-old is at the peak of his career, and this is the right time for him to join a big club and fight for major trophies.
