These are dark times for those that blindly peddle transfer tales – or is José Mourinho simply playing games, again? As per this recent piece on The Boy Hotspur, my own feeling is that Danny Ings is not the right man for Spurs.
From what the gaffer just said in in the pre-match presser, he was polite, but Ings to Spurs looks like a dubious thing. If Carlos is a player that genuinely makes Mourinho happy is another matter. One could take a view that Carlos Vinícius is here for the duration; so no professional coach would publicly call him out for being incapable of showing in training anything that might propel him into a Premier League starting XI.
I take a view that Spurs don’t need Carlos Vinícius, nor do they need Danny Ings.

Harry, how come the “phase around England” is how “difficult” it is to adopt, but yet we reach conclusion on players half way through the season. The situation with Vinicus is, Jose actually put him in situation where his margin for success is great. I think he is under expose and when given the chace he leads the line well. I just do not get your point or moreso your conclusion on him. It is a waste of asset/money if we do not get a permanent understudy for Kane. Parrot, maybe?

I saw the presser, I think the bigger point is that Jose feels the up and coming talent is all in the 16/17 year ranks and barring say skipp the production line is a little bare
Send all our academy staff to Benfica for 6 months and show them how it’s done.. They spot young talent and develop them well.. They churn out world class players that sell for hundreds of millions.. Our production line has always been shit. Kane is just a freak of nature, once in twenty lifetimes.
Under 23s top of the league. Our production line is fine.

Our u23s and under 18s both gonna win their respective Leagues. Currently sitting First and third (u18s lost earlier 4-1 at arsenal though) big up Chris Powell. Our production line ain’t bare
Benfica churn out top players like Bernado Silva, Ederson, and Joao Felix…. Apart from Kane we produce the likes of Winks and Mason and Carroll.. They worth 25mil compared to 100mil world class graduates.

Outside Kane – who fought tooth and nail on his own, while THFC changed staff endlessly, Harry ‘lateral balls’ Winks is the biggest success.

True.. Who knows which players will come through too.. I wanted rid of Kane. Never thought he would become half the player he is. I watched him miss shots for years at different clubs and in the ropey league under Schnapps. A striker who couldn’t run or score, no chance 🤦♀️

As stated previously, I like Ings a lot and would take him without hesitation.
He would have been an ok back up.. But I’m sure he left the scouse for the saints so he could be the main man. At his age he doesn’t want to be waiting on the bench constantly. He’s had time out with injuries too.
