Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has now reacted to Tottenham Hotspur winning the UEFA Europa League final against Manchester United.

Tottenham managed to win the game 1-0, thanks to an own goal from Luke Shaw in the first half of the final. The North London club did well to dig deep and defend during the second half, and they managed to grind out the all-important win.

After a disappointing Premier League campaign, they need to win the tournament in order to secure Champions League qualification for the next season, and the fans will be delighted with the way the team has produced a match-winning performance in Bilbao.

Ange Postecoglou proven right

Meanwhile, Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou said towards the start of the season that he usually wins a trophy during his second season at a club, and the Australian has now proven that right.

Salah shared a post on X after the game, which read: “He did say he’d win in his second season. Congratulations!

Tottenham are currently 17th in the Premier League table, but they will compete in the UEFA Champions League next season. Winning the UEFA Europa League could help them sign top-quality players in the summer. It will also lift the morale around the club.

Postecoglou was under immense pressure coming into this game, and it will be interesting to see if the Australian can hold onto his job beyond this season now.
