Massive boost for Tottenham ahead of the crucial game against Aston Villa

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro is on track to make his comeback in the club’s upcoming Premier League clash against Aston Villa this weekend.

The Spanish defender had enjoyed an injury-free spell until last month when he suffered a muscle injury during training.

Initially expected to be sidelined for a few weeks, Porro missed Tottenham’s last two league games against Wolves and Crystal Palace.

Before the Palace game, Ange Postecoglou indicated that Porro is likely another week away from returning to action.

However, Gold left fans concerned after he reported that the player was not seen in training yesterday.

However, there have been positive developments regarding Porro’s recovery.

Manager Ange Postecoglou provided an optimistic update during the pre-match press conference.

Postecoglou confirmed that Porro has trained fully throughout the week and is in good condition ahead of the Villa fixture.

As quoted by Football London, Postecoglou offered insight into the latest team news.

He stated:

“Everyone from last week is fit and available. Coming back. Pedro [Porro] is good, he’s trained all week so no problem.”

“Everyone else, including Richy, is still not training with the main group so unavailable.”

Porro’s imminent return is a welcome development for Tottenham, as he has been a pivotal creative force for the team this season.

With eight assists in 23 Premier League appearances, his presence on the pitch provides a significant boost to Tottenham’s attacking options from the backline.

As Tottenham aims to secure a crucial victory against Villa in their pursuit of a top-four finish, Porro’s return will undoubtedly bolster Postecoglou’s squad and enhance their chances of a win in the upcoming fixture.
