This was not what any of us wanted to see. This was the moment before James Maddison was stretchered with a serious-looking knee injury during the pre-season match against Newcastle United.

Son Heung-min was seen with his hand over his mouth in shock.
The shock moment came after what looked like a very minor contact with Newcastle’s new boy Anthony Elanga.
