By Saikat -

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with a move for Gift Orban.

The 21-year-old striker has done quite well for Belgian club KAA Gent and his performances have attracted the attention of the North London club.

A report from VoetbalNieuws claims that Tottenham have ‘significant financial resources’ after the departure of Harry Kane and they could look to seal the 21-year-old’s transfer soon.

Orban scored 20 goals across all competitions last season and he could prove to be a solid, long-term acquisition.

The talented youngster has the potential to develop into a key player for the North London club in the coming seasons, and signing him for a reasonable price could prove to be a masterstroke from Daniel Levy.

Tottenham will have to replace the attacking output of Harry Kane and they need to sign multiple players this summer in order to fill the void left by him.

Orban will certainly add goals to the side. Working under a manager like Ange Postecoglou, who has a reputation for getting the best out of his players could be ideal for the talented young attacker’s development as well.

The 21-year-old is likely to improve with coaching and experience and he could end up justifying the transfer in the long run.

The Nigerian is valued at €30 million and Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to get the deal done.

The reported asking price could prove to be a bargain if the 21-year-old manages to hit the ground running in the Premier League.

One sense that Tottenham needs to get this done.
