Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club this summer.
The 29-year-old is in the final year of his contract and he is yet to sign an extension with them. It is natural that Tottenham will be under pressure to sell him if refuses to sign an extension.
They will not want to lose a player of his quality on a free transfer next summer.
Kane has been linked with clubs like Bayern Munich and Manchester United. Daniel Levy will probably try his best to hold on to the England international and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Meanwhile, journalist Ben Jacobs has revealed that Tottenham could look to make a move for Dusan Vlahovic or Jonathan David if they lose Kane in the summer.
He said on YouTube: “If Kane is going to be pushing for a move then Tottenham need to pivot and the budget becomes redundant because if you are getting £80-100 million for Kane then your budget is going to be some of that to replace Kane.
“I would keep an eye on Dusan Vlahovic, even though Chelsea, Manchester United are more linked. And I would also keep a very close eye on Jonathan David, who is available in the market as well.”
Vlahovic managed to score 14 goals across all competitions last season but he has not been able to live up to the expectations at Juventus. The Serbian international has been linked with the move away from Italy this summer.
Meanwhile, Jonathan David has been a key player for Lille scoring 26 times across all competitions last season.
Both players would be excellent acquisitions for Tottenham and it will be interesting to see who they end up signing.
Kane is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and keeping him at the club will be the top priority for Tottenham.
However, they failed to secure Champions League qualification and the player is yet to win a single trophy at the club level. He could feel that this is the right time for him to move on and pursue his ambitions.
