Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has made an impressive impact since joining the north London club.
The manager has impressed with his straightforward approach towards the media and his players. Spurs have also attracted a lot of praise because of their attacking style of play.
It will be interesting to see if Postecoglou can help Tottenham finish high up the table and return to the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season.
According to journalist Sami Mokbel, the manager is admired by the Tottenham players even if they are not regular starters for the London side.
Even the fringe players love the newly appointed Tottenham manager because of his straightforward approach and honesty.
Speaking on the Last Word on Spurs podcast, Mokbel said: “It’s not just the players that he’s using that are responding to his methods and just how he is as a guy, a lot of the dealings and conversations that I’ve had with regards to Tottenham this season, and Ange’s approach to players, is that even the players who are on the peripheries of the squad, who would generally be upset with the way they’ve been treated, or not happy with the way they’ve been treated absolutely love him, because he’s just a straight up and down guy. He just tells them straight, look, I get you being frustrated that you’re not playing. And these are the reasons why you’re not playing”.
It is evident that Postecoglou has made quite an impact on and off the pitch. He has earned the support of the Tottenham fans as well. His personality is helping to maintain good chemistry within the dressing room.
Despite a number of injury problems so far, Tottenham have done well in the league and they will be hoping to secure a top four finish by the end of the season.
Spurs have brought in a number of quality signings so far the season and they will look to put together a formidable squad in the coming months. It will be interesting to see if Postecoglou can help Tottenham end their wait for a trophy.
