Journalist claims he has spotted an ‘unexpected’ figure at Tottenham’s pre-season tour

Tottenham Hotspur’s pre-season tour has seen an unexpected presence in the form of Scott Munn, the club’s appointed chief football officer.

Despite not officially commencing his role due to issues with the City Group, Munn has been spotted in with Spurs in various locations, raising curiosity and speculation among fans and experts.

Tottenham expert and journalist Gold humorously remarked on his YouTube channel that he was “sure” Munn wasn’t currently involved in official work behind the scenes.

Gold revealed that Munn had been seen in three different countries during the pre-season tour, namely Perth, Thailand, and Singapore.

Although Munn’s appointment to the key role of overseeing all football operations at the club was considered a major coup for Tottenham, the delayed start date has left observers intrigued.

The delays in Munn’s official start date are reportedly due to complications arising from his departure from the City Group.

Nevertheless, he is expected to play a pivotal role in the club’s recruitment and sporting operations once he officially assumes his position.

Gold’s light-hearted remarks and raised eyebrows when discussing Munn’s presence on the tour add to the intrigue surrounding the situation.

The Englishman’s potential dual residency, with family both in Melbourne and China, may offer some explanation for his movements during this period.

Gold said:

“There were a few unexpected people.

“Scott Munn was definitely out there. He went to all three countries, I am pretty sure.

“I certainly spotted him in Perth. Others spotted him in Thailand and Singapore, I think.

“He still isn’t officially working for the club. Still no start date, yet because of the issues from the City Group end and letting him go.

“I think he has family in maybe Melbourne and I also think he still has a family in China, so presumably, you could argue that he was moving around between both.

“I am sure he isn’t doing official work behind the scenes, at all.”

With his expertise and experience, many are hopeful that he will have a positive impact on the club’s footballing endeavors once he is fully integrated into his position.
