Think that story on budget appears in Guardian not Express. Guardian now saying Mourinho told he will have no money for January transfers, appears paying off Poch and staff has eaten that money. Well we’ll see how good a coach José is then. More important is getting Luis Campos Lille’s director of football, who seems to be a brilliant talent spotter. As for those people who keep blaming Poch for signing rubbish, remember he said don’t call me a manager, I’m a coach. Managers handle contracts and sign players, all I do is coach those players. Whoever signed Nkoudou and Njie, that is the person who should have walked the plank.
I read this and made me laugh. It is almost a get out of jail free card for Jose really. Kane will not stick around unless we are looking like real winners, maybe not even then, he will want trophies. So if jose fails to deliver due to budget, Kane leaves and Jose can go with the one promise was broken. if he succeeds, Kane will stay…so win win really.

Express saying Mourinho will have same budget as Poch, which is exactly !?!?. Also says he had one main demand of Levy that Harry Kane not be sold. He was told Harry would not be sold until 2021 at the earliest. If true, wonder how Harry feels about being on the block. So every club in the world can now start budgeting to buy Harry now.

It’s been noted before and perhaps it’s attributable to late middle age but Levy’s perspective on reality seems to be stuck fast around 2010, a time when matchday revenue was still a defining factor in determining football’s financial hierarchy. As a result, he’s also failed to notice that Jose Mourinho has since been consecutively sacked by Real Madrid, Chelsea and Man Utd despite having been afforded limitless transfer and wages budgets. Nor did he seem aware that in the past eleven months the only other clubs besides spurs to have solicited Mourinho’s services are Celtic, Benfica and Lille.
