Bayern Munich have expressed their interest in Harry Kane publicly over the last few weeks with their CEO and manager both proclaiming their interest in the striker.
Ever since their public declaration, there have been a number of reports linking the Englishman with a move to Bayern this summer which has become a concern for Tottenham fans. Harry Kane has been in fine form under Conte and is seemingly happy with the current set-up at Spurs but strong interest from a club like Bayern could change that.
However, Fabrizio Romano has given a positive update on Harry Kane’s future. He insists that there is no chance Harry Kane will be leaving Spurs this summer and that the club will be opening talks over a new contract in the coming months. He told CaughtOffside:
“A lot has been said about Harry Kane and Bayern Munich, and it’s certainly true that Bayern are in love with Harry Kane.
“Julian Nagelsmann and the board consider him one of the few strikers ready to guarantee as many goals as Robert Lewandowski.
“However, this is not even a topic or a negotiation right now. Tottenham will not be negotiating for Kane this summer and there has never been any chance.
“Harry is untouchable and will play for Tottenham. The club’s idea is to negotiate a new contract in the coming months.
“Tottenham look like a completely different club now thanks to Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici; the work of both is also helping Kane who is 100% happy with the Spurs project.”
It’s vital for Spurs to keep hold of Harry Kane who is on the peak of his career at the moment for as long as possible. He’ll be an integral part of the team Antonio Conte is building as they hope to compete for silverware this season.
The German League is just not ‘big enough ‘ [Bayern apart ] for Harry , Italy maybe , because of its traditions and fantastic backstories and history in Europe . Spain , barring the top two , cannot afford him , that leaves the States [ too early] or China [too far ].
England is the ‘rightful’ place for Mr Kane , its so bloody obvious .
Not every great footballer achieves what he should , the fabulous Jimmy Greaves would testify to that . Harry will look back on a past that will still cover him in glory . Why ?? Because he , like Bobby Moore before him [ another under-achiever save World Cup legacy ] , is the England Captain , a wonderful player and role model undoubted .
Long may he stay with us , break Rooney’s record , close in on Jimmy too and I sincerely believe come close to joining Mooro in the Pantheon of not just being a sublime footballer , but be recognised as a loyal and loved human being …… love ya Harry …….. C O Y S !!!!!!!!!!!11111111
Kane will 100% not join a club outside of the premier league. Shearers record is his target and it’s something he can fall back on when his career is over when discussing on the after dinner circuit. City and Liverpool options are off the table now assuming their big money signings deliver so unless Ten Haag’s Utd revolution suddenly clicks into top gear from the off he’s
staying at Spurs
If Kane hasn’t got an agent saying this to him, he’s criminally negligent to his own career. Levy publicly humiliated him regarding the ‘gentleman’s agreement’ and Harry would be well served remembering that and watching what Conte does before committing to anything with Levy involved.
Sadly irrefutable logic, sir.
Winning either of the domestic cups won’t be enough for Kane, if anything it could be a signal to think “right, I’ve finally got a trophy with Spurs but titles and Champions League finals are not going to be happening so it might be the right time to move on”. The club must push on, on all fronts and make significant strides, otherwise he’s off sooner or later…
The German league is alright. Improved in recent decades. It’s hardly better than the french league though…. If he does ever go then surely it would be to one of the other big leagues Spain or Italy.
Right ? Kane would be very wise not to sign anything until a trophy or two are in hand. Both the opportunity for trophies and the money are better elsewhere, and Levy has already proven with both Eriksen and with Kane that it is never about what is good for the player. No fair shakes there.
Spurs may catch lightning in a bottle and snag a trophy this season, but Kane should not be betting on that by signing any contracts. Run it down if that is what it takes, but he needs to keep the ball in his service.
Another trophy-less year and those golden feet will be getting very very itchy.
