“It needs to start with a 2” – Former Tottenham owner comments on Harry Kane transfer saga

The rumors linking Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane to Manchester City remain relevant with the summer transfer window opened. F

Furthermore, a recent report from The Sun revealed that the 27-year-old would be heading to the Premier League champions for a fee of around £160-million. Nonetheless, Kane remains with Tottenham, but should that change.

Former Tottenham owner and chairman Alan Sugar believes the fee for Kane should be a lot higher. Sugar took to Twitter to share his thoughts over the reported sum that Manchester City is willing to pay.

“I would be surprised if Harry Kane was leaving Spurs for as little as £160m. Manchester City will have to sharpen their pencil. It needs to start with a 2,” Sugar tweeted

It would be hard to see Manchester City or any club for that matter forking over £200-million for Kane. If the striker departs Tottenham this summer, it will likely be for the reported £160-million.

Kane continues to remain part of the Tottenham squad. Still, there’s some smoke regarding rumors as Mirror is the latest to report that Manchester City is preparing for Kane’s deadline day transfer proposal.
