Is Tottenham vs. Burnley on TV, and can Arsenal still spoil our season?

By The Boy -

The win against the Gunners was a fine one. After all the interminable build-up, Spurs genuinely delivered and played some solid football which brushed aside rather a clueless Arsenal side. Nobody was quite as clueless as Arteta himself, who acted as if he’d never watched a top-flight game before and mumbled about the referee, when he really ought to have been standing on a crate, screaming at his own players. Here’s my Arsenal Autopsy in full.

BBC

Burnley at home for us in a few hours, and then Arsenal faces Newcastle on Monday evening. As things stand, Spurs’ goal difference is superior, but we cannot afford to stop winning. The Gunners are a point better off as I write.

The game is available to watch on BT Sport and BT Sport 1 and BT Sport Ultimate for subscribers. Of course, you can also watch on the BT Sport App if you’re on the go today.

Kick-off is noon, and we will have to keep our fingers crossed that the combination of an early start and the physical hangover from Thursday’s game don’t spoil the party.

It’s deselecting blame when 1 person is ultimately responsible.
though at them moment I can’t see there is a plan for the summer if Conte (as he says) has still to sit with Levy to discuss the future.

The speech about getting mostly ropey league for 16 years would have been more relevant to spam tbh. Fact is we had 4 consecutive years of CL and even got to the final, but Levy failed to financially back his manager in rebuilding a worn out team and then put the blame at his door and sacked him, to replace him with a “super manager” who led us to 7th. The reason we’re now flapping around trying to get 5th is Levy’s inability to back managers and his revolving door managerial policies. The man is an abject failure who has cost this great club dear over 22 years of ponderous and overbearing failure. But most of all his inability to grasp the success of regular top 4 qualification and instead run away and hide behind his bulging wallet when investment was sorely needed.

Today is more of a test than Thurs night IMO. Burnley are fighting for their PL lives and as is our way, performances against teams like Burnley always nosedive.

Can we keep the momentum ? We are Spurs ! so guess what ? Anything can happen.

2-0 Spurs hopefully.

Will you still love it if we lose 0-1? 😂

We need an early goal. I can see this being a 0-0 with fatigue playing it’s part for us otherwise.

Problem with today is we need to win. If we win it basically saves Everton leaving Arsenal an easy last game. Not having fate in our hands could render today mute.

Still want us to win, but as I say, unless arsenal slip they could have a very easy last day.

Fail to beat Burnley and we don’t deserve CL football, simple as that.

The chairman’s message ahead of the last home game of the season is full of the banality that you’d expect. No mention of trying to change gear in the summer, just this kind of garbage;

“We do know, however, that regardless of the next two fixtures, we shall be in Europe again – for the 16th time in 17 years. I’m not sure, earlier in the season, any of us thought we would be in this position.” – Somebody please, explain to me what on earth that even means??

Nobody cares about playing all these extra meaningless games Daniel, 16 years mostly playing in a competition made up of also-rans, the Ropey League is a wooden spoon competition. We have one ONE league cup in the 23 years you’ve been stinking the place out, and nothing else. You expect fans of the 8th wealthiest cub in the world to be just happy about being in “Euwope”?

This to me suggests to me that nothing whatsoever is set to change and if Conte gets a more attractive offer then he’ll be off. Daniel, we are bored with your endless attempts to manage our expectations, sell the club to someone who wants us to put football first and just f*ck off…

The earlier we get in front the better imo, Burnley are not the same as a Dyche team , they play a little more open and expressive, however after the beating they took last time, I’m not sure what we’re gonna get from them. It’s probably going to be a case of trying to break them down again and our defending of crosses and dead balls.

Burnley have already been a banana skin for us .
Today WE MUST BANISH any negative thought , hit the front early and keep extending through that winning line . The old Spurs may succumb , but we are a new spirit , a revived squad , new manager , new ground , new hope .
Take this chance boys , unload the burden you carry and put the pressure on those wilting Gunners .
God , I love this game , C O Y S !!!!!!!!!!!

Just got to get the job done today.

See that copper give one of the Gooner’s a more than couple of digs back. Hitting one of many copiers in riot gear probably isn’t going to work out too well is it?! What a pranny! 😂
