Montpellier striker Elye Wahi has been linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks.
A report from Footmercato claims that the 20-year-old attacker has attracted the attention of a number of Premier League clubs and Chelsea are the only ones to submit an official bid to sign him.
Apparently, the Blues have offered €27 million for the striker who scored 19 goals last season.
The transfer is likely to ‘accelerate in the coming days’ with a number of clubs keen on him. Apparently, the likes of Tottenham, Frankfurt and Paris Saint-Germain are all keeping tabs on the player but the attacker is keen on a move to West Ham United.
The Hammers can offer him regular game time next season and Wahi is likely to develop further with ample game time at the Premier League club.
The 20-year-old is a tremendous talent with a big future ahead of him and it would be quite a coup for West Ham if they managed to pull off the deal. The Hammers need to add more depth to their attack and Wahi would be a quality acquisition.
Meanwhile, Tottenham have sanctioned the departure of Harry Kane and they will need to bring in attacking reinforcements. The 19-year-old could be a solid long-term acquisition for them and he could develop into a quality Premier League forward in the coming seasons.
Ange Postecoglou could nurture him into a quality striker in the coming seasons. He is likely to thrive in the Australian’s attacking system as well.
