Injured Tottenham star reportedly given clearance to face Manchester United

By Mehdi Gokal -

In a potentially significant development for Ange Postecoglou’s squad, Micky van de Ven is reportedly set to make his comeback against Manchester United, offering a substantial boost to Tottenham.

The brilliant summer signing has been out with a hamstring injury since the Chelsea game. While initial reports suggested he would be out until February, recent reports claim that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery.

The player himself revealed during his recent appearance at the Darts that he will be back in two weeks.

Postecoglou, while being cautious about affirming the return dates based on the player’s comment, mentioned that  van de Ven’s return for the Manchester United game on January 14 is likely.

And now according to reports doing the rounds on X (formerly Twitter), he has been given the clearance for a return against United. These have seem to have originated from claims from a journalist named Joseph Brown.

Although these claims haven’t been corroborated by established sources, considering the recent reports, the player’s assertions, and the expected return date given by the manager, all signs point towards an imminent return.

Which is why, a comeback against United wouldn’t come as a surprise, marking a highly anticipated return for van de Ven.
