Tottenham Hotspur completed a deal to sign Mathys Tel from Bayern Munich on deadline day.
The North London club signed the 19-year-old winger on loan with an option to buy him permanently at the end of the season.
The player has now revealed that his Bayern Munich teammate and former Tottenham star, Harry Kane played a key role in convincing him to move to England. The player revealed to Tottenham’s official website that Kane referred to Tottenham as a big club with very good people.
The England international also convinced the Frenchman that he would enjoy his time at Tottenham.
Tel revealed after completing his move: “He told me that this is a big club with a lot of very good people, the stadium is very nice, the training centre is very good and if you go there you will enjoy it. Everything was positive from Harry Kane.”

The 19-year-old is highly rated across Europe and he has a bright future ahead of himself. He needed to leave the German club to play regularly and the move to Tottenham could be ideal for him.
Clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United were keen on securing his signature as well. It will be interesting to see if he can hit the ground and prove his quality in the Premier League.
Tottenham need more cutting edge in the final third, and the Frenchman could prove to be the ideal long-term investment for them. If he manages to adapt to English football quickly, it is fair to assume that Spurs could exercise the option to sign him permanently at the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is versatile enough to operate anywhere across the front three, and he could transform Tottenham in the final third. He will look to prove his worth in English football and establish himself as a key player for the club.
