Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Hull City winger Jaden Philogene.
According to journalist Dean Jones, he fits the profile of players Spurs are looking at and it wouldn’t be a surprise if they decided to move for him at the end of the season.
“I haven’t heard that Tottenham are specifically looking at Philogene but, when you consider the type of signings that they are looking at, he does fit the profile that they are looking for in terms of players that are emerging and going to be capable of making a big breakthrough in the Premier League.
“I can believe that he would be on their radar, based on everything else I’ve heard.”
Philogene has been in impressive form this season, scoring eight goals and picking up six assists across all competitions. The highly-rated winger could develop into a key player for Tottenham if he joins the club. He will add goals and creativity in the final third.
Tottenham are lacking a specialist goalscorer and therefore they need to bring in attackers who can slot into multiple rules and goals consistently. Philogene would be the ideal acquisition for them. Although he is primarily a left-sided winger, he is versatile enough to operate on either flank.
The opportunity to play in the Premier League will be an exciting one for the young winger and it would be a major step up in his career. He will look to prove himself at the highest level and showcase is qualities in the top flight next season.
It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can secure an agreement with the Tigers in the coming months. They will be hoping to sign the player for a reasonable price.
The 22-year-old has a contract with Hull City until the summer of 2026 and the Tigers might look to recoup a substantial amount of money for him.
