Harry Kane pinpoints the difference in ‘mentality’ between Spurs and Bayern Munich

By Saikat -

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane joined Bayern Munich earlier this summer.

The 30-year-old England international has now revealed some of the distinct differences between the two clubs.

Kane has revealed that the expectations are a lot higher at Bayern Munich and the club is expected to win every single game.

The former Spurs forward revealed in an interview that it wasn’t considered a disaster if Tottenham went a couple of games without winning but at Bayern, the pressure is immense to win every single week.

Even comfortable wins have left the fan base disappointed because of the quality of football on display. Kane believes that the elite mentality at the German club is what separates the two clubs.

He said (h/t Daily Mail): “We wanted to win at Spurs, but if you went a couple of games without winning it wasn’t a disaster. At Bayern, you have to win every game. After winning 3-1 and 4-0 in our first two games, there was talk about not being too happy about way we played! Top club mentality.”

The 30-year-old failed to win a single trophy at club level during his time at Tottenham, and he will be hoping to end his wait for silverware soon.

Bayern Munich are one of the biggest clubs in the world and they will be hoping to challenge for the league and the Champions League this season.

With a striker like Kane at their disposal, there is no reason why the German outfit cannot go all the way in both competitions.

Kane is undoubtedly one of the finest strikers of his generation and he has proven himself across multiple seasons for club and country. He will look to make his mark in the Bundesliga now and guide Bayern Munich to major trophies.
