Goals & Highlights As Spurs Join Champions League Last 16 [Video]

Tottenham Hotspur made it two wins from two under Jose Mourinho with a 4-2 victory over Olympiacos last night. But again we did it the hard way.

Needing only a draw to qualify for the Champions League last 16, by virtue of Bayern Munich thrashing hapless Red Star Belgrade, we were 2-0 down inside 19 minutes to a team with only one point from four Group B matches.

The Greeks’ second goal from a corner emphasised the work that Mourinho has to do in re-organising a defence that has lost all sense of solidity.

Things could have panned out much differently had equally slack work from Olympiacos not gifted Dele Alli a tap-in during first-half stoppage time.

The goal was a case of right place, right time but it was another encouraging performance by Dele who was key to the second-half turnaround.

Some quick-thinking by Serge Aurier – and a ball boy – allowed Lucas Moura to square for Harry Kane to equalise within five minutes of the restart.

Aurier completed the comeback in the 73rd minute with a back-post volley Kane would have been proud of, and the striker got a second to become the fastest player to 20 Champions League goals – in only 24 matches – glancing home a cross from a bloke who looked an awful lot like Christian Eriksen.

Check out the BT Sport highlights below. Aurier’s goal at 5.30 is definitely worth seeing:
