Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
The 33-year-old midfielder will be out of contract in the summer and he is yet to sign an extension with the Spanish giants. He could move on as a free agent in the summer and a number of English clubs have been linked with the move for him.
A report from the Sun claims that the midfielder’s representatives could sound out the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester United, and Manchester City.
Tottenham could certainly use an experienced central midfielder like him, especially if they part ways with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. Kroos will add creativity and control to the middle of the park. His experience and leadership qualities could prove to be invaluable to the Tottenham dressing room as well.
The German international has helped Real Madrid win four Champions League titles during his time at the Spanish club and he will want to join a club in the Champions League next season.
Tottenham must ensure that they finish in the top four if they want to attract elite players like him.
Spurs have made an impressive start to the current campaign and they are on top of the league table. If they can sustain their current in front of form, they should easily qualify for the UEFA Champions League.
Signing a player like Kroos on a free transfer could be a shrewd investment and a major statement of intent from the Londoners.
