Tottenham announce Antonin Kinsky signing
The club made the deal official earlier today, announcing the signing on their website, releasing the following statement:
“We are delighted to announce the signing of Antonin Kinsky from SK Slavia Prague, subject to international clearance and work permit. The 21-year-old goalkeeper has agreed a deal that will run until 2031 and will wear the number 31 shirt.”
The need for reinforcements in goal has become increasingly urgent for Tottenham. First-choice goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario has been out of action since suffering an ankle injury in November during a clash against Manchester City.
Following surgery, Vicario is not expected to return for several weeks. Meanwhile, Fraser Forster, who stepped in as his replacement, has also been unavailable due to illness, leaving Spurs with limited options in a critical position.
Kinský has gained recognition as one of the most promising Czech goalkeepers of his generation. This season, he has showcased his talent and consistency, recording 14 clean sheets in 29 appearances across all competitions. His performances have solidified his reputation as a reliable presence between the posts.
Kinský’s journey through club football has been marked by steady progress. After joining Slavia Prague in 2021, he gained valuable experience during loan spells with MFK Vyškov and FK Pardubice. This season, he seized the opportunity to become Slavia’s first-choice goalkeeper following an injury to Jindřich Staněk, further enhancing his credentials.
Tottenham fans will be happy with the early business from the club and will be more excited by Romano’s update regarding more potential signings this transfer window.
