Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with the move for the Club Brugge winger Antonio Nusa over the last few days.
The 18-year-old is reportedly a target for the North London club and Tottenham are working to secure his services this month. If the two clubs manage to agree on the transfer, the 18-year-old could spend the remainder of the campaign on loan at the Belgian club and then join up with his new club next season.
Journalist Alasdair Gold has now revealed what the £25 million winger is as a person. Speaking to people who know the player, Gold claims that Nusa is a humble player with his feet firmly on the ground.
“It appears talks have been held this week, he’s a very exciting young player and we’ve spent the day digging into everything about him and his path. Speaking to people who know him a word that came back straight away was ‘humble’. Which is a good word in today’s game, not to do down any young players out there, but it’s difficult for young players when they’re earning decent players to keep their feet on the ground, but everything suggests that’s what Nusa is like,” Gold said on the Gold and Guest Talk Tottenham Podcast.
Tottenham fans will certainly be delighted with the revelation and they will be excited about the prospect of him joining the club.
The Norwegian is highly rated around Europe and he has a bright future ahead of him. Given his personality, he should fit right in at the North London club.
Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou comes across as a humble person and the 18-year-old Norwegian winger could enjoy his time under the Australian.
Regardless of the talent on offer, it is imperative for teams to bring in players with a positive personality, and someone like Nusa will only foster a positive environment in the dressing room.
The winger is reportedly valued at £25 million and Tottenham certainly have the financial muscle to get the deal done. He could improve them in the final third if he manages to adapt to English football quickly.
