Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane completed a move to Bayern Munich at the start of the season.
Former England international Paul Parker has now reacted to Kane’s transfer away from Tottenham and revealed that the north London club are better off without him.
Spurs have certainly impressed with their playing style this season and they are well placed to return to the UEFA Champions League at the end of the season.
They have also put together an exciting young squad with more depth than last season.
Parker believes that Tottenham are operating more like a team in the absence of Kane. During his time at the club, everything revolved around the England international striker.
“When he was there, I said that they would be better off without him. Now it turns out that I was right. When Harry Kane is at a club, everything revolves around him. Everything. I think Spurs should be happy he left them.”
Meanwhile, Parker also claimed that everyone makes fun of the Bayern Munich striker because he does not win trophies.
“Look, everyone laughs at him in England. People were talking about him leaving because he wanted to win trophies and he’s not winning anything,” former England international Paul Parker, who played 19 games for the Three Lions, told wettfreunde.net (h/t TZ) .
Kane left Tottenham to win trophies but it will be difficult for him to win silverware with Bayern Munich this season. They have already crashed out of the cup competitions and Bayer Leverkusen are well placed to win the league title this season.
It will be interesting to see if Kane can win the first trophy of his career by the end of the season and silence his critics.
Regardless of what Parker feels, Kane was an exceptional player for Tottenham who carried the side almost single-handedly at times. The north London outfit challenged for the Champions League trophy and the league title during his time at the club and Kane was instrumental in their push for glory.
