Europa League winning manager could be on the move, Tottenham ‘remain vigilant’

By Saikat -

Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.

A number of clubs are reportedly keeping tabs on his situation and Tottenham Hotspur “remain vigilant” as per CittaCeleste.

Apparently, Newcastle United and Everton are monitoring the Italian manager as well.

Sarri has previously managed in the Premier League with Chelsea and he helped the Blues win the UEFA Europa League during his time at Stamford Bridge. Since returning to Italy, he guided Juventus to the league title.

There is no doubt that the 64-year-old is a quality manager with the experience required to manage a club like Spurs.

It remains to be seen whether the North London giants are prepared to bring him back to England.

His attacking approach could be an instant hit at Tottenham and the London club certainly have the players to execute his style of football as well. A number of quality Tottenham attackers have struggled to perform at a high level this season and the appointment of a progressive manager could bring out the best of them.

Clubs in Italy are keen on the 64-year-old manager as well and it remains to be seen what he decides.

Despite winning a European trophy with Chelsea, he had an underwhelming league campaign with the Blues and the Italian could be tempted to try his luck once again in English football.

Tottenham are yet to appoint a quality replacement for Antonio Conte and former midfielder Ryan Mason has been put in charge as the caretaker manager until the end of the season.
