Doctor Rajpal Brar has shared the latest on the injury to Tottenham centre-back Kevin Danso.
Spurs have had a terrible injury crisis this season, in particular at the back with the likes of Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero missing out the major chunk of the season, while Ben Davies also picked up a hamstring injury.
To make it matters worse for the club, Radu Dragusin also picked up a serious injury that required a surgery and ultimately ended his season with the club, with his return date said to be towards the end of December.
The injury to Dragusin triggered the club to sign an emergency centre-back in the January window, with the club signing Kevin Danso on loan from Ligue 1 side Lens.
The 26-year-old made an instant impact, impressing fans and pundits with his performances at the back as well as his leadership quality. Among those who have hailed the defender is Dean Ambrose, who suggested that Danso’s presence provided much-needed stability during a difficult period for Tottenham’s backline.
He said on Inside Spurs: “In terms of Kevin Danso coming into the team, the biggest compliment you can give him is he’s looked like he’s been there for years. He’s come in, he looks assured. He’s done a recovery tackle on Sunday on Hojlund, who’s not slow, by the way, which was fantastic on Sunday. So yeah, it doesn’t look like a new signing and he looks like he’s a leader.”
However, his impressive spell came to an end as he suffered an injury which has seen him miss 3 games so far, including the 3-1 win vs AZ.
Manager Ange Postecoglou has suggested that it is not a serious injury with the player expected to be back after the international break.
Dr Rajpal Brar on Kevin Danso

Injury expert, doctor Rajpal Brar has now shared an update on Danso’s injury. As per him, if Ange’s comments are true, it means the injury is a Grade 1 thigh injury. However, in the worst case scenario, it is possible that the player could be for over four weeks.
He told Tottenham News:
“Based on the manager’s comments, it isn’t too serious and he may be able to return following the international break.”
“This sounds like a Grade 1 thigh injury.
“That being said, these can take some time to get full clarity on so the worst case would be a more severe injury which would mean over four weeks out and seeing him return by the end of April.“
While his injury is a setback, the return of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven serves a big boost for Ange’s side as they aim to win the Europa League to salvage what has otherwise been a miserable campaign for the North London club.
