‘I think so’: 24-year-old makes admission regarding his Tottenham future

Swedish winger Dejan Kulusevski has no intentions of parting ways with Tottenham Hotspur.

The North London club’s first season under the leadership of Ange Postecoglou could be considered a success and they managed to finish 5th in the Premier League and secure Europa League football for next season.

After the end of the campaign, Tottenham travelled to Australia for a post-season friendly against Newcastle. The winger was recently asked about the pre-season trip to Australia during which he was also quizzed about his future at the North London club.

The 24-year-old has been linked with a move to Napoli in recent weeks. Antonio Conte is all set to be the manager of the Naples-based club and he could come calling for the Swedish winger.

The player was asked about the rumours during an interview with Aftonbladet.

He said: “I don’t know anything about that. I have heard that Conte is going there. It will be fun to see him there, to see him back in football.”

Kulusevski seems happy to see Conte return to managerial action after a long break of over a year. He was in charge of Spurs before parting ways in March last year.

While Conte admires Kulusevski, the player seems committed to the project at Tottenham.

He was directly asked if he would continue at the North London club, to which he replied: “Yes, I think so.”

The 24-year-old is disappointed to have missed out on Champions League qualification with Tottenham this past season but he seems pleased with the progress made on a personal level and as a team under the guidance of Postecoglou.
