Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from the club and German champions Bayern Munich are hoping to sign him before the transfer window closes.
According to Florian Plettenberg, the German club are in ‘direct contact’ with Tottenham regarding a summer move for the 29-year-old England international. Apparently, they are expected to come forward with a new offer.
Karl-Heinz Rummenigge is reportedly leading the negotiations with the Premier League club, and it remains to be seen whether they can agree on a reasonable fee with Daniel Levy.
Kane is in the final year of his contract with Tottenham and he is yet to sign a renewal. Spurs will be under pressure to cash in on the player. They will not want to lose a player of his ability on a free transfer next summer.
Kane has not won any trophies with Tottenham so far in his career and he might feel that this is the right time for him to move on and join a big club where he can challenge for major trophies.
Apparently, Bayern Munich have ‘convinced’ the player to join them this summer and the England international is only keen on a move to the German club.

However, Daniel Levy has a reputation of being a difficult negotiator and Bayern Munich will have to submit a lucrative offer if they want to sign the 29-year-old this summer.
Kane is one of the best strikers of his generation, and he could transform the German club in the final third. Bayern Munich have not been at their best over the past year and they barely managed to win the league title.
They will be hoping to improve next season and challenge for the Champions League title. Someone like Harry Kane could make a huge difference in the final third and turn them into genuine contenders.
