Tottenham Hotspur’s centre-forward Troy Parrott, currently on loan at Eredivisie side Excelsior, has attracted interest from several German top-flight clubs.

In August of last year, Parrott embarked on a season-long loan spell at the Dutch club.

The Ireland international has been impressive during his loan stint so far, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists in his 22 Eredivisie appearances. (Transfermarkt)

Bundesliga sides have taken notice of Parrott’s performances and have been pursuing him.

According to sources speaking to Football Insider, German clubs are eager to secure the services of the 22-year-old striker. It is believed that Spurs are willing to part ways with their former academy forward if they receive a suitable fee.

Parrott joined the Lilywhites in July 2017 from Irish club Belvedere. Two years later, at the age of 17, the youngster made his Premier League debut under manager Jose Mourinho in a 5-0 win over Burnley.

The Dublin-born player didn’t get many opportunities with Tottenham, making only 4 first-team appearances, totalling just 94 minutes.

Parrott had loan spells at Millwall and Ipswich Town before joining Milton Keynes Dons for the 2021-22 season, where he scored 10 goals and provided 7 assists in 47 appearances.

In the summer of 2022, Spurs announced his contract extension until 2025 and loaned him to Preston North End for the 2022-23 season. And now Parrott has been enjoying his most successful loan spell at Eredivisie with Excelsior.

The Lilywhites will look for a potential suitor among the German clubs for Parrott before his contract at North London expires in June of the following year.
