Tottenham Hotspur received a positive update amid recent injury setbacks as Welsh attacker Brennan Johnson is expected to make a swift return to action in their upcoming Premier League clash against Everton.
The youngster sustained a facial injury during Spurs’ 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest, which raised concerns about his availability in the next fixtures.
The Welshman was suffered a nasty whack on the head while trying to challenge for the ball.
It resulted in a significant cut on his forehead, and had to be taken off with fear of a concussion and was replaced by Oliver Skipp.
Ange confirmed after the game that there was no concussion, only a nasty cut on his forehead and that he should be okay for the next game.
And Spurs fans have received more good news with the latest update from Sky Sports.
Sky Sports (via Tottenham News) correspondent Weir delivered the reassuring news, stating that Johnson was spotted in the training earlier today:
“The good news is that Brennan Johnson is out there (in training). He came off with 20 minutes gone against his old club on Friday night.
“After the game, Ange Postecoglou said just a deep cut, not a concussion, so it’s good to see Brennan Johnson out there .”
This will come as a boost for Spurs who are already struggling with an injury problem.
His availability means Kulusevski can continue playing as a number 10 in James Maddison’s and Giovani Lo Celso’s absence.
