By The Boy -

LADBROKES HAVE REVEALED THE LATEST odds in the race to replace José Mourinho as Tottenham Hotspur’s boss.

Former favourite Julian Nagelsmann has been snapped up by Bayern Munich, meaning Erik ten Hag is now CLEAR FAVOURITE in the betting at 2/1 to be Spurs’ next boss.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes told The Boy: “Nagelsmann looked to be a shoo-in at one stage to take over from Mourinho, but the latest odds suggest Spurs will now be turning their attention to Erik ten Hag over Maurizio Sarri.”

The Latest Betting Next Tottenham Hotspur Manager
Erik ten Hag – 2/1

Maurizio Sarri – 9/2

Nuno Espirito Santo – 6/1

😂 Bit busy now, but give us a minute and I’ll second that.

I have been studying Sarri’s tactics the last week and have flipped from hating the idea to really liking it. Nagelsman was my clear favourite – he is a revolutionary manager, I had a blog entry last season where I gushed about it.

Sarri was criticised at Chelsea for sticking to one very rigid system, but that may just because of the players he had. Even if he did put that same rigid system in place here, we would be pressing hard on the defensive side, like all the great clubs in Europe now and the players would again learn how to break traps and strong presses, as we used to do under Poch. Sarri #1. Potter #2. I am not sure I can take a couple years of Benitez boredom. It was hard enough watching us with Jose as manager, I just cannot do it again.

This is a good writeup on Sarri-ball: https://totalfootballanalysis.com/head-coach-analysis/maurizio-sarri-chelsea-napoli-head-coach-tactical-analysis-statistics

A Ajax internal set up ? A internal set up would be nice.

Bosz and DeBoar both flopped outside Ajax, and we don’t really have an Ajax internal set up either. Would be a very high risk appointment.

Ten Hag would be a catch.
