Tottenham failed in their attempt to sign Wolves’ star winger Pedro Neto, as the North London club’s player-plus-cash offer was rejected.
Tottenham were strongly linked with a move for Pedro Neto this summer, and their interest in the player was evident when they reportedly held talks over personal terms.
The club’s determination to secure the 24-year-old was further demonstrated when they submitted a player-plus-cash offer to Wolves, which included midfielder Oliver Skipp as part of the deal.
According to Liam Keen, Wolves correspondent for the Daily Star, the offer was turned down by the Midlands club. Keen shared on X:
“Spurs & Chelsea both had player+cash offers for Neto rejected by Wolves, with Spurs’ offer including midfielder Oliver Skipp.”

While Tottenham’s offer was rejected, Chelsea have managed to edge ahead in the race for Neto’s signature.
The Blues reportedly made a more convincing offer worth £51.4 million plus bonuses, which Wolves have accepted.
The winger is now set to undergo a medical ahead of finalising his move to Stamford Bridge.
Pedro Neto has been a key player for Wolves since joining the club, making 135 appearances and contributing 14 goals and 24 assists.
Last season, despite struggling with injuries, Neto managed to score 3 goals and provide 11 assists across the Premier League and FA Cup.
Losing Neto to their London rivals will certainly come as a blow for Tottenham. However, there is some good news for fans as latest reports suggest the club is closing in on a record deal to sign Dominic Solanke.
