Paul O Keefe has shared a promising update on injured Tottenham star Micky Van de Ven.

The Dutch defender picked up a hamstring injury against Chelsea and was forced off before half-time.

Despite the severity, the silver lining for Spurs was that the player did not require a surgery to treat it and the player was said to return by February.

As per the latest from Paul O Keefe, the 22-year-old has made a major stride towards a return by doing individual work with a ball on the grass.

He shared the update on X: “Micky van de Ven has stepped up his recovery efforts by doing individual work with a ball back on grass

This will come as a massive boost for Tottenham who have suffered in his absence. Spurs went on a 5 match winless run, losing 4 and drawing one after his injury.

He made an instant impact since joining in the summer, forming a formidable partnership with Cristian Romero at the back.

Such was his impact that Gallas went on to call him the best signing of the season.
