Sporting CP midfielder Marcus Edwards is reportedly keen on a return to Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.
The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Portuguese club since joining them and he has six goals and nine assists in all competitions this season.
The player wants to return to English football once again and a report from Correio Da Manha (h/t SportWitness) states that he is on the radar of the North London club. It will be interesting to see if Tottenham are prepared to bring him back this summer.
The player has already expressed his desire to return to the club and it remains to be seen how the situation develops.
Tottenham could certainly use more quality in the final third and the 25-year-old would be a useful acquisition for them. He is capable of operating on either flank as well as the central attacking midfielder. He will add goals and creativity to the side. He knows the club well and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact.
Furthermore, Tottenham have a 35% sell-on clause included in his deal and therefore they will be able to sign in for a reasonable price as well. It will be interesting to see if they decide to come forward with an official proposal for the player in the coming weeks.
Sporting CP could be tempted to sell him if there is a lucrative offer on the table.
It was left Tottenham in 2019, and he failed to make his mark in English football back then. He is at the peak of his power right now, and he will look to prove his quality in the Premier League this time around.
