The thing with Spurs under Levy, is that you don’t need crack team of geophysicists or private detectives to unearth the the dirt.
Harry Winks is another one with no media training.
The Daily Mail are running with the less than cryptic headline, ”’We don’t really work on them’: Harry Winks admits Tottenham didn’t practice penalties ahead of agonising shootout defeat in Carabao Cup’.
Wow.
Whilst this might explain why Eric Dier looked like he had just been told his parents were in the same plane as that recent Cardiff signing as he walked up to take his kick.
When asked whether they practiced penalties, Winks replied: ‘No. We don’t really work on penalties. It’s like the manager said, sometimes you win, sometimes you don’t.
‘We beat Watford on penalties and never worked on them. Unfortunately on this occasion, it’s football. It wasn’t our night on penalties but that’s the nature of the game.
This revelation is astonishing, by any standards.
I guess the Daniel Levy ‘winging it’ DNA truly has permeated the entire club.
*they…*feel ..ffs
Nothing wrong with Poch’s responses there. He’s pissed off that we lost but the questions from the clowns are the usual clueless drivel we’ve come to expect.
They are obviously pursuing the story that we have an injury ‘crisis’ and that unless we sign something quick (yes something) that we are going down the drain.
Spurs fans know that we need more quality, the media think we just need any old dross to plug a hole. The type Levy might haggle in from Ligue 1.
Poch obviously thinks they’re twats, and he’s spot on…
Magical days.
He’s the sport radio equivalent of the Sunday Sport, he’s tell everyone that his missus gave birth to rabbits if it meant they tuned in…
“abused cash-cow”..
everywhere I go, theres a fellow yid hiding in his grief…they dont speak out much but once you know there support Spurs you fill the love..
Go in full NFL uniform. That will make a nice statement. You will be my hero.
Yes . But some of those Seasons we did not ‘Compete’.
We have had several opportunities to kick on that have been willingly sabotaged by Levy and ENIC. We finished 5th and one point behind Woolwich back when Jol was still manager ffs!
Each time, players have been sold, managers replaced and sporting directors appointed. Expectations have been managed, you’re allowed to want Spurs to win things but you aren’t allowed to actually experience it under ENIC.
You see it’s the illusion of striving for something unattainable and always just out of reach that is the basis of ENIC’s whole Spurs thing.
The stadium is going to deliver what exactly? A ‘match day experience’ for the punters and the increasing amount of tourists drifting to London to take in a game.
None of this stuff has anything to do with football. So bloody bored of Levy and ENIC, just fuck off and let someone with some real ambition for the club take over.
Cheapskate chancers…

Truly sad. My first Final that I sat and watched was in 69, Citeh and Leicester. For 20 years after that each Final has been etched in my Memory, A day to remember, I can even tell you what Pub we watched them in. Now I have trouble remembering who won it 2 or 3 years ago ! In Perrymans Book theres a great description of The High Road, at Dawn, when he came away from the Nights Celebrations after the replay with Citeh. Great times. I love THFC but Levy and Enic are a Cancer and its a slow death.
come on…you know full well we can only sign a player when Mars aligns with Jupiters Moon IO…
It’s become uncomfortable now for Poch and the press when speaking about transfers…..it’s a natural part of any sport yet it’s made out to be the anti devil at Spurs and will only work if you can solve some complicated algorithm..
You only have to look at a crowd at a match now to see how nullified and controlled people have become.
Qatar are awesome.
What else would you expect someone who likes Anal .. er Arsenal, I mean. 🙂

Agreed,it’s like we have our own Ozil although he probably had his best times at Real Madrid albeit alonside tony Kroos.
Considering they are our NL rivals it is amazing how our clubs are operating along parallel lines.Hamstrung by owners who won’t invest in the team, managers operating with their hands tied and seemingly happy to do so and both teams with players who are not up to standard, yet playing week in week out protected in their comfort zones. You can’t buy unless you can sell and with players you can’t shift. And a lot of the fans unhappy with the status quo.
These are not good times for North London.
I send Daniel a full nappy every week
It’s in the deal with AIA I was told.

Red sox won like 106 games this year in the reg season. Cant preordain a 100 win season. Nfl Pats on the other hand……………dodgy as all hell per usual.
I get fed up counting the number of times Eriksen fails to clear the first defender at corner kicks. Actually, I find him altogether rather an exasperating figure. Yes, he is a key man for us but, it sometimes seems to me, something of a fair weather flat track bully – possessed seemingly of the same diffident personality, a kind of footballing equivalent of Graeme Hick! In a scenario where we were playing a crunch match with Liverpool with the title perhaps riding on it he’d be likely to be posted missing. He seems like a nearly man to me in a nearly team; is he really good enough for the likes of Real Madrid? It would be interesting to see.
Always has been, always will be.
I’ve never been so pleased w Qatar 😉
Yeah, and Australia became the new Spurs. 27 shots, no goals, going home too
Just saw that, fack me Levy & co are lucky buggers, Fernando scoring and Sonny coming back can in their minds be justifiably spun as a credible basis for their continued inaction
“The bald transfer supremo”. Yes, indeed, the cut price cock up merchant! What does he get his six million a year for? Certainly, not for his ability to help put a successful team on the pitch.
Last night, was pretty hellish with DD – bless him – getting so wound up as usual and these two loud, brash Chelsea jokers behind us plus the usual miserable old git (DD thinks is a Liverpool fan) cheering on whatever team is playing us. Really quite a provocative atmosphere, but at times like that our experience in tasting – and therefore handling – eventual defeat is invaluable. Thank you, baldy!
Levy will be thinking “Great, no new signings then….”
Confirmed – lost 1 – 0 to Qatar. Good news that we’ll be getting Sonny back early and hopefully in good shape.
Excellent result Tappa. It’s not what you know but who you know that matters.
They don’t practice corners either it would seem.Eriksen would appear not to practice free kicks these days either, when was the last goal he scored with a free kick?Three seasons ago?
Whatever your opinions on Ronado i think he still practices after regular training.I wonder what the benefits could be?
That donna m woman I should send her an e mail!!
Poch riled in this post match presser

And I guess its the Spurs fans that get to squeal like a pig, courtesy of ENIC. Yee ha!
Doubt you’ll get any joy out of them. The whole club is rotten.
Sorry… World series and NFL
Cant managers use discretion anymore? If it was my business and one of my staff turned down a good free advertising opportunity id sack him

Poch insists that he needs time to win trophies at Tottenham!!
Clearly no pressure there then!
Wanted to re post the below from Poxy as it was on the end of a blog. Arsenal have a lot of foreign fans that jumped on the ban wagon but I would still argue Spurs are a better supported (with a loyal fan base) club then any other London one….
Levy (and now Poch) seem to make out as though we should be grateful we finish 4th and have a marble floor stadium…
League titles since 1961:
Arsenal 6
Chelsea 5
Spurs 0
F.A. Cup wins (once our speciality) since 1991
Arsenal 8
Chelsea 7
Spurs 0
Guys Educate me. How come we do not have Sleeve Advertising, 666 being a Tight Git ?
An F. A. Cup tie like Arsenal v Utd would av been a real battle 20/30 years ago, this is so sad, zero atmosphere, played like a training match. Football is dead. Well and truly dead.
Take a good look at Arsenal. That’s the model Levy has followed. (with an NFL groundsheet of course) this is where we are heading….
Primarily school yids be patient. Secondary school will be braggy . You’ll run the playgrounds 🙂 mummy and daddy can handle the suffering till then.
Should of both been sent off, heads came together.
Come On Manure !!!!! would be great to meet them in the Semi again this year, Oh hang on……………
What concerns me about Poch, among other things is, that after all the time he has had with this squad, that our corner taking, set pieces (taking and defending) and penalty taking don’t seem to have gotten to the top of his “Things I need to work on” list. These are bread and butter skills that are the life-blood of well organised squads to maximise their scoring opportunities and minimise conceding. And are not just for the “lesser”teams in the division fighting for survival.
Let’s be honest – the EPL is a brand that needs money fed into it – paying big dollars to get the big names to enhance the EPL brand. In return, teams are getting nice earnings from the TV deals. Generally the teams that have enjoyed traditionally success (i.e winning titles and cups) are those clubs that were prepared to spend to get success (notwithstanding the Leicester blip which came a year after a similar blip in La Liga). Basically, with a zero net spend policy and being the only club in the 5 major European leagues to not buy anyone in the summer, Spurs are stinking the joint out in the eyes of the EPL. It is not good business for the EPL to have Spurs at the top table at the expense of, say, Man Utd. Spurs had the chance to sit at the top table but ENIC thought winging it was better business for them as ambition costs money.
In positive news, I think S Korea just got knocked out.
Happy days, South Korea knocked out in quarter final. Son coming back early
Penalties should be practiced ahead if games like last night. However THFC are the nearly men. Semi Final losses racking up. Off the top of my head even Modric suffered one before heading off to pastures gold. The FA CUP semi against Man Utd still hurts. If things don’t change then many who can will follow in Modric’s footsteps.
Yes, Harry, Dier’s body language as he stepped up to take his penalty was distinctly worrying; I expected him to miss.
Incidentally, shame about the injury to Dele at this time, because though he doesn’t seem to do enough much of the time he has got an instinct near goal and I thought your idea to play him as a striker in the absence of Kane and Son a sound one.
That’s unacceptable. You don’t need to have played the game to know that any good manager at any level prepares for penalties if they’re a possibility. We did it as teenagers playing for no money w no global interest. And yet Poch fails to do so w so much at stake? It’s simple: the players need to prepare – sharpen up, get a good idea which side they’ll hit it in and how; and the manager needs to have his best five identified. Ridiculous.
It seems that Spurs now have their own version of “Duelling Banjos” from the film Deliverance.
Rose and Dier, neither of whom could hit a cow’s arse with one.
Adrian Durham reading out the content of his show….. Ended with… “…. And we’re gonna laugh at Spurs as well”
Excellent, worthwhile, impartial radio journalism. Prick.
The TOTTENHAM foundation just called me. They were very nice 🙂 what sizes are you. My guy clasford MBE. 🙂 🙂
Not practicing penalties is an astonishing revelation, especially with no extra time and away goals not counting extra.
Get yourself a 70s shirt, plain and beautiful, have ENIC OUT ! printed on it and reveal at the last minute. You will be a Hero 👍🏾
Must be all the can’t beat the 1st man corner practice taking up too much time
Watched good video on how American sports is rigged for bets and TV markets. Both basketball and NFL have finals between biggest markets…. L. A. and Boston. That’s why Liverpool were pretty determined to win the title. They are owned by the red socks group and have huge market in USA. They need them to win.
Yes astonishing revelation. England used to have exactly the same attitude, under a succession of managers, until Southgate changed the whole culture and mindset. The upshot? We actually won a penalty shootout at the World Cup. Poch needs to learn the same lesson.
Just read the Poch statement about still having options this transfer window. It tells us all we need to know about the current shambles. Having options doesn’t sound much like a club identifying targets for positions of weakness and then proactively working to bring them in like Liverpool, City and Chelsea do. It smacks of more last minute bargain basement shopping as personified by the reported interest in Rabiot. He’s free in the summer, never mind that the antics of his trouble making mother will probably lead to more dressing room upset than Pogba could ever aspire to. We should have summer replacements for Dembele and Eriksen already lined up, particularly since the inevitable sale of the latter will inflate the prices being quoted by other clubs, but of course that would fly in the face of the spectacularly unsuccessful policies of the bald transfer supremo.
Levy out Enic out
20 years of failure
Went into the spurs shop and asked to speak to the manager. Explained the situation to the abrasive manager. “He said it would take many emails to maybe get it sorted. I Said should I go there in an old under armour jacket and look shabby then? No answer. W a n k e r s. Anyway I don’t give up that easily. Ive got clasford sterling MBE sending them a kind email as we speak 🙂
I remember the England squad used to say ‘we don’t practice pens’ – and under a number of managers.
Recently we changed that attitude.
Recently we started winning the occasional penalty shoot out!! Hmmm
You’d think even without practicing they’d have noticed why HK’s penalties always go in: hard into the bottom corner.
I notice that Cedric Soares has moved to Inter Milan on loan with an option for them buy for 9.7M at the end of the season.Seems like a deal that even Tightwad could have got over the line, with a discount of course, and an upgrade on our two at RB.
Yep defiantly, he has come out and said how poor he has been since being over there and didnt manage his fitness and sleep very well and apologises to the fans. Hopefully he gets back misses the weekend, chills out and then be available.
Sweet, Thanks for that.
Flies back first class in the morning arrives lunchtime in London doesn’t need to train as he’s fit ready for the bench on Sunday if required to come on and get us a goal! https://t.co/WjgrthEDkn
