‘Ange will be fuming’ – Club insider says Ange must have been left fuming despite win against Palace

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham trailed by a goal until the 76th minute, before staging a comeback to secure a 3-1 victory over Crystal Palace earlier today.

Spurs scored three rapid goals in just 11 minutes to clinch all three points, with Timo Werner, Cristian Romero, and Heung-min Son finding the net.

This victory sees Tottenham emerge as the only English top-flight side to recover 18 points from losing positions in the ongoing campaign, underscoring their ability to turn the tide when faced with adversity.

On his social media platform X, club insider and correspondent Paul O’Keefe claimed that Ange Postecoglou would still be fuming over the first 70 minutes of Tottenham’s performance.

He posted: “Good recovery from Spurs. Ange will be fuming with the first 70 mins. Still a fair bit to do to get them anywhere close to where he’ll want them to be. A work in progress.”

Indeed, Spurs’ tendency for slow starts and a lack of tempo have been persistent issues throughout the season, prompting concerns about their consistency and ability to seize control of matches from the outset.

However, Postecoglou must address this problem as the club needs to play on the front foot right from the starting whistle.

With Tottenham now sitting five points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa with a game in hand, their upcoming visit to Villa Park looms as a crucial fixture in the race for Champions League qualification.
