Ange Postecoglou was left ‘furious’ with one Tottenham player despite win over Fulham

By Mehdi Gokal -

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou was left ‘furious’ with Dejan Kulusevski just before half-time during their 2-0 win over Fulham last night.

Spurs won the game comfortably with goals from Heung-min Son and James Maddison. Both goals came from Fulham giving away the ball cheaply while trying to play out from the back.

But take nothing away from both the finishes. Son fired in a curler from the edge of the box to give Spurs the lead and he turned provider for Maddison in the second half who finessed it past Leno to secure the win.

But Ange was left annoyed with Kulusevski just before the half-time who had the chance to double the lead.

Andy Townsend, providing commentary for Premier League Productions, noted Postecoglou’s visible frustration.

He said (via TBR):

“He’s got to shoot there. Kulusevski there, Martin (Tyler), has to apply the finishing touch there. It’s a brilliant ball from Romero again. That’s an important moment in the game because that should end up in the back of the net.

“I just saw Ange Postecoglou’s face there, and he was furious that they didn’t make more of that.”

The win over Fulham took Spurs back to the top of the Premier League table with 23 points, two above Manchester City and Arsenal.

And they will have the chance to temporarily extend their lead to 5 points with a win over Crystal Palace on Friday night.
